TVC Responsibilities:
God has blessed me with opportunities to serve, teach, and lead others throughout my life, which has prepared me well to humbly serve as a lay elder.
When and how did the Lord save you?
Once we joined TVC, we got more involved with our church community and felt our faith as a family growing. Our faith journey eventually led us to pursue a family mission trip in Guatemala, Mexico. In preparation for our mission, I was filled with trepidation, feeling ill-equipped to share the gospel and lead others to Christ. In His grace and mercy, God revealed that my purpose on the mission was not to save others (He would preside over that work). Rather, God called me to the mission field to save me. The morning of June 13, 2017, on the rooftop of a mission house, I found the meaning of true relationship with Christ and accepted Him as my Lord and Savior, and my life has been forever transformed because of it.
When did you come to TVC and what brought you here?
My wife, Nina, and I have always shared a strong belief and faith in God, which has served as the foundation for our marriage. As our marriage and family began to grow, we continued to grow in our faith and ultimately reached a point where we did an honest assessment of our faith and what we truly believed about God and Jesus. We desired more than Sunday services and felt compelled to find a church where we could truly pursue a deep relationship with our Lord and Savior. That desire led us to The Village Church in 2010, and we have been part of the TVC community ever since.
